Abstract :
In-situ ESR measurements have been performed on Langmuir-Blodgett films of several complexes of azobenzene-containing alkyl-chain-substituted pyridinium and TCNQ, which exhibit conductivity change upon the trans-cis photoisomerization of the azobenzene group. The quantitative analyses have allowed us to propose a conductivity-change mechanism, since these films can be treated as a quasi-one dimensional Hubbard system.
