Abstract
Effect of fluorine atoms on the molecular orientation studied by a systematic characterization of several organic films deposited on surface modified substrates. Polarized infrared absorption spectra, X-ray diffractions, and surface morphologies show a clear relationship between the molecular orientation and the fluorine content in mechanically deposited and vapor deposited materials.
