Abstract :
Under microwave irradiation C60 undergoes Diels-Alder and 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions within the scale of minutes to afford the respective cycloadducts in similar or increased yields related to the described methods. This methodology overcomes the long reaction times required under classical heating conditions.
