Abstract
Polypyrroles substituted by chiral side chains have been electrochemically deposited on platinum from acetonitrile solutions in the presence of lithium perchlorate, tetraemyhammonium perchlorate, tetrabutylammonium perchlorate, tetraethylammonium tetrafluoroborate and tetramethylammonium hexafluorophosphate. The electrodes exhibited a good redox reversibility, long-term stability and were stable over a wide potential range (−3.0 to + 1.2 V versus Ag/0.01 M AgNO3). The enantioselective recognition properties were investigated in the presence of the enannomers of camphorsulfonic acid as supporting electrolyte and doping agem. The coated electrodes are also capable of being used as asymmetric inducator for the electrochemical rediation of prochiral organic molecules.
