Abstract :
Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene-3′-octylthiophene-3″,4″-ethylenedioxythiophene) is a new small band gap conducting polymer in which solubility of P3ATs and high electronic properties of PEDOT are associated. Visible-NIR-MIR absorption properties of the FeCl3 doped polymer are characteristic of delocalized systems in presence of a secondary doping. Finally, infrared reflectance spectra of polythiophene derivatives films are described, showing for the first time that quasi metallic infrared reflectances can be reached on polythiophene derivatives.
