Interference effects in conjugated polymer devices

In this paper, we model the effects of optical interference on conjugated polymer devices. We extend current models to include the effect of birefringence in the polymer. Experimental measurements of emission from PPV LED structures as a function of angle are compared with the model. These results demonstrate the importance of birefringence.
