Abstract :
We report the temperature profile of the velocity of ultrasonic waves propagating perpendicularly to the organic layers in the superconductor κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu[N(CN)2]Br (Tc = 11.7K). A softening anomaly is observed at the superconducting transition temperature. This anomaly is discussed accordingly to the thermodynamical Ehrenfest relation and the existence of superconducting fluctuations.
