Construction of multinuclear heterobimetallic conjugated complex systems

The controlled complexation of the emeraldine base of poly(o-toluidine) with two different transition metals, Cu(OAc)2 and Pd(OAc)2, was achieved in organic solvent to afford the multinuclear heterobimetallic conjugated complexes. The complexation was monitored spectroscopically. The structure was found to depend on the complexation mode.
