Abstract :
Stille coupling between 1,1′-bis(tributylstannyl)ferrocene and 5-iodo-oligothiophenes has been employed to prepare 1,1′-bis(5-oligothienyl)ferrocenes, which have been electropolymerised to afford films of poly(oligothiophene–ferrocene)s with unusual redox properties.
