Abstract :
Polypyrrole (PPy) was electrogenerated by means of anodic polarization in an acetonitrile solution with 2% water. The so-called magic salt (LiN(SO2CF3)2) was used as electrolyte. For each experimental electropolymerization, polymer weight, charge generated from the polymerization process (Qpol) and charge stored in the film (Qox) were determined, as well as the current productivity, the charge storage efficiency and the ratio of these latter two magnitudes. The kinetic parameters were calculated by means of ex-situ ultramicrogravimetric follow-up and the polymerization charges in each sample. From polymer weight, the kinetic equation Rp=K [M]0.44 [E]0.65 was obtained, and for the second case Rp=K [M]0.34 [E]0.72, being [M] and [E] the concentrations of monomer and electrolyte, respectively.
