Abstract :
We have synthesized a new hole transport (HT) compound, 4,4′,4″-tri(N-dibenzo[a,g]carbazolyl)triphenylamine (TDCTA). Due to the combined star-shaped structure and much-fused dibenzo[a,g]carbazolyl chromophores, TDCTA exhibits a very high glass transition temperature (Tg) at 212 °C and a high thermal decomposition temperature (Td) at 575 °C. When used as a HT in non-optimized double-layer organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), TDCTA shows a good hole transporting property.
