Abstract
Single crystals of κ-(BEDT-TTF)2Cu[N(CN)2]I have been prepared by two different electrochemical procedures. All crystals of both types showed superconductivity under pressure above ≈1.2 kbar with transition temperature Tc up to 8.0 K, as determined from resistive measurements. The pressure–temperature phase diagram for the salt was found to be common with another κ-phase materials. Pressure dependence of Tc showed dependence on the sample quality, related to the completeness of the superstructural transformation.
