Abstract
The present paper deals with a problem of selective harvesting of two competing fish species in a randomly fluctuating environment. Here species are assumed to have Gompertz law of growth and interaction. The growth parameters of the species are assumed to be perturbed by white noise characterised by a Gaussian distribution with mean zero and unit spectral density. The dynamic behaviour of the stochastic system is studied and the fluctuations in the populations are measured both analytically and numerically by computer simulation. It has been observed that spectral density, denoting the intensity of fluctuation of each population to be an increasing function of each time lag.
