Structure and dynamics of physisorbed phases

Neutron, X-ray and helium atom scattering techniques are ideally suited for the study of the structure and dynamics of atoms and molecules physisorbed on surfaces. High flux beam reactors, high intensity spallation sources, the growing number of third generation synchrotron X-ray sources and the increased number of compact helium beam sources have led to a steady increase in our knowledge of the adsorption process.
