Abstract :
Nano-sized amorphous molybdenum dioxide powders have been prepared for the first time using γ-ray radiation in ambient pressure and room temperature. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray powder diffraction pattern of crystallized sample reveal the powders are monoclinic phase of molybdenum dioxide. Transmission electron micrographs show the average particle size is 16 nm, and the distribution of particle sizes is from 8 to 30 nm.
