Abstract :
A large single crystal of urea-(+)tartaric acid (UT) has been grown from aqueous solution by slow cooling. The structure of UT consists of urea and (+)tartaric acid held by three-dimensional hydrogen bonds. The piezoelectric constants were measured by the transmission method at 20 °C.
