Abstract :
A phase transition in α-Ca3(PO4)2 at 212 °C is evident from DTA studies. High temperature X-ray diffraction studies indicate that the room temperature monoclinic α-Ca3(PO4)2 becomes orthorhombic above 212 °C. The higher symmetry above 212 °C is also indicated by Raman studies.
