Abstract
Thermal properties (thermal capacity, thermal expansion, thermal difrusivity, thermal conductivity) of the Fe3Al-5 at.% Cr intermetallic compound have been measured in the temperature range from 20 to 700 °C. Observed anomalies are assumed to be caused by the continuous order-order transition near 550 °C. An unusual character of the thermal difrusivity anomaly (a maximum near the transition temperature) has been explained as a thermomechanical stress effect caused by local changes of atomic ordering in the material during the flash method experiment.
