Abstract :
A series of mixed valent monophosphates isotypic with Rb2Mo2WO5(PO4)3 have been synthesized: A2Mo3O5(PO4)3 (A = Rb, Tl, Cs), K0.4Cs1.6Mo3O5(PO4)3, Rb1.18Cs0.82Mo3O5(PO4)3, and Cs2Mo2.866W0.136O5(PO4)3. The structural study of these compounds shows the high flexibility of the [Mo3P3O17]∞ framework and the great selectivity of the two kinds of sites that are available for univalent cations in this interconnected tunnel structure.
