Preparation of ZnSe films through chemical solution reduction process

In a novel wet process, zinc selenide films were prepared on Teflon and polycrystalline α-Al2O3 substrates using zinc chloride, selenium, and aluminum foil as source materials. This method is simple and can be fulfilled easily. The films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS).
