Abstract :
The lithium vanadate LixV2O5 (x=0.6–1.6) has been prepared by the solid state reaction method. The electrical studies are carried out on the gold coated pellets. The diffusion constant (D) and the mean free path (a) have been calculated using Rice and Roth formalism. The conductivity parameters such as ion hopping frequency (ωp) and the charge carrier concentration (K′) have been calculated using Almond and West formalisms. The variations of the above parameters with temperature and lithium content in LixV2O5 have been studied.
