Abstract :
Nanocrystals of Cd1−xMnxS, Cd1−xMnxSe and Cd1−xMnxTe semimagnetic semiconductors have been prepared by four technological techniques. Borosilicate glass, quartz, zeolite and polymer served in used methods as base dielectric matrices. Transmission electron microscopy measurements performed on different samples show the best result concerning the distribution of the radii of quantum dots for Cd1−xMnxSe nanocrystals incorporated into zeolite matrix. The observed shifts of absorption spectra for semimagnetic semiconductor nanocrystals have been considered as evidence of quantum confinement effect due to the nanoparticle size.
