Abstract
A layer of calix[4]arene ionophore deposited on platinum electrode has been characterised by impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry methods. Ion sensitivity of a device for alkaline ion have been tested for Na+ ion in aqueous solution. The results show, comparatively to EIS and ISFETs devices, a decrease in detection limit (10−8 M) but an increase in response time (30 min). Membrane ageing shows a diminution in coverage rate (50%) but a constant sensitivity for Na+ ion detection.
