Abstract :
Bio-inspired, tubular structured hierarchical mesoporous titania material was designed and fabricated employing natural cellulosic substance (cotton) as hard template and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) surfactant as soft template by one-pot sol–gel method. The tubular structured hierarchical mesoporous titania material processes large specific surface area (40.23 m2/g) and shows high photocatalytic activity in the photodegradation of methylene blue under UV light irradiation.
