Abstract :
The CdSiO3:Bi3+, Dy3+ phosphors were synthesized by high temperature solid state reaction and their persistent luminescence properties were investigated under ultraviolet light excitation at 233 and 274 nm. The results showed that the CdSiO3:Bi3+, Dy3+ phosphors presented 360 nm ultraviolet persistent luminescence from Bi3+ and typical line emissions from Dy3+. By Bi3+ or Dy3+ doping, the persistent luminescence property of CdSiO3:Bi3+, Dy3+ phosphor exhibited different emission behavior. The increasing of persistent duration from Dy3+ was observed by the Bi3+ doping. However, the co-doping of Dy3+ results in the decreasing of ultraviolet persistent duration from Bi3+. This phosphor may have potential applications in photo-catalysis systems and other various display fields.
