Abstract :
Gibberellins (GAs) are a family of endogenous growth regulators in plants that are involved in nearly all stages in plant growth and development. The past few years has seen rapid progress in research on all aspects of GA biochemistry and physiology. Much of this progress has been achieved through the analysis of Arabidopsis mutants that are defective in the biosynthesis or response to GAs. This article aims briefly to review progress in GA biosynthesis and action in Arabidopsis, with particular emphasis on very recent work.
