Abstract :
The materials of high-Tc. superconductivity are very peculiar ones which we have never met in the field of solid state physics. However, ten years after its discovery, new technologies on crystal growth and processing have been developed fairly well. The growth of single crystals of these complicated materials seems to open up a new field of material science. Furthermore, it seems to indicate the way of future applications of high temperature superconductors. s paper the technology of single crystal growth is shown and the characteristics of single crystals including critical current are explained in detail. The possibility of future application is also discussed in relation with those scientific results.
