Abstract
The equations that have been obtained describe the nucleation process of crystalline phase in binary and multicomponent systems on account of the work due to concentration fluctuation of alloy components in a microvolume of undercooled liquid (amorphous phase). On the basis of these equations the theory of homogeneous crystallization for one-component systems has been extended for binary and multicomponent systems. Application of regular solution approximation in describing concentration dependence of free energy of liquid (amorphous) alloys, and half-empiric equations for crystalline phases allowed us to calculate kinetics of the crystallization process in FeB system in a wide range of temperature and boron concentration variations, the results having shown a good agreement of the theory and experiment.
