Abstract
The production of amorphous and nanocrystalline materials in the form of thin films and foils presents known problems. Thus, for example, films and foils obtained from the liquid state by hardening are characterized by porosity and roughness. This paper presents the three-electrode production method of amorphous and nanocrystalline metallic alloys which are devoid of these disadvantages. Previously ionized argon is used as operating gas. The advantages of this method are high purity and homogeneity of the films obtained, film production of various materials and the possibilities for deposition on different substrates.
