Abstract
A brief overview of the contemporary theoretical approach and experimental techniques used in studying the viscous flow behavior of glassy metals is presented, together with the authorʹs recent contributions to the problem under consideration. It is shown that the free volume model of viscous flow is self-consistent and free of internal contradictions by considering the experimental results of nonisothermal viscous flow, relaxation of bend stresses, thermal expansion and heat capacity of amorphous materials.
