Abstract :
Protonated polyaniline can serve as a near-infrared radiation absorbing additive to conventional polymers, such as polystyrene, poly(methyl methacrylate), and poly(vinyl chloride), etc. Addition of less than 5 wt.% of protonated polyaniline causes total drop of transmittance of the material in the near-infrared region.
