Abstract
This work demonstrates that it is possible to produce porous silicon superlattices with slab thickness comparable to the dimension of the Si nanocrystallites. The intermediate electrochemical regime during a current change is studied. Ordered arrays of Si nanostructures into SiO2 are in principle achievable by thermal oxidation, even if the selectivity of oxidation is not too high, because of the reduced dimensionality of the systems. The optical properties of such structures are studied and discussed.
