Abstract :
In this paper the change of intensity and binding energy (BE) of O 1s in the Pr1−xSrxMnO3 system along with the doping amount x is discussed. The X-ray photoelectron spectra of O 1s peak show the clear splitting features and change of both intensity and BE with doping level x. Although the oxygen contribution in an ultrahigh vacuum chamber is always unavoidable, it is possible to distinguish them from intrinsic peak shape. A preliminary interpretation is proposed for a possible second order phase transition near x=0.3.
