Electronic structure of NiMn(Ti) alloys and the influence of Ti on the temperature of the martensitic transitions

The change of ‘nesting’ with alloying is investigated on the basis of band structure calculations of the pseudobinary transition metal alloys NiMn(Ti). The correlation between the peculiarities of the electronic structure of the alloys and change of the martensitic transition temperature is discussed.
