Abstract
Strengthening of an L12-long range ordered intermetallic by coherent disordered particles has been investigated by computer simulations and by measurements of the critical resolved shear stress (CRSS) of bulk single crystals. The particles are sheared by dislocations. The results are discussed in the light of models developed for stacking fault energy mismatch strengthening.
