Abstract
A three-dimensional Monte-Carlo computer model of grain growth based on a full description of texture and microstructure is used to study the abnormal grain growth of Goss grains in the presence of coarsening MnS particles. This model incorporates the anisotropic grain boundary energy and anisotropic inherent mobility. The calculations show that high-energy boundaries are released at the early stages of the simulation. The results also demonstrate that at the early stages of the grain growth, the intensities of Goss and the main texture components increase. In the next stage of annealing, the intensity of the Goss texture increases at the expense of the main texture component. The growth of the largest grain reaches a steady-state growth rate.
