Abstract :
The microwave dielectric properties of (Pb1-xCax)[(Fe0.5Nb0.5)1-y Zry]O3 system (0.4=x=0.6; y=0.05,0.1) have been investigated at microwave frequencies. X-ray diffraction result shows single-phase specimens with an ordered ABO3-type orthorhombic perovskite structure can be obtained using conventional solid-state reaction method in the compositions of (Pb1-xCax)[(Fe0.5Nb0.5)1-yZry]O3(0.4=x=0.6; y=0.05,0.1). The replacement of Zr4+ for [Fe3+/Nb5+] at the B-site considerably improves the loss quality factor Q and does not remarkably affect the dielectric constant e r and the temperature coefficient of resonant frequency tf whose value of nearly 0 ppm °C−1 can be realized at x=0.55 and y=0.1.The Qf0 value and e r for this composition are measured to be 8658 GHz and 85.3, respectively, using the close cavity resonator method.
