Abstract :
This paper will report the effect of cold compaction, warm compaction, two-step compaction and particle size on the magnetic properties of iron-based alloys with high purity used in soft magnetic composite (SMC) materials. The results showed that increasing the pressure and applying warm compaction and two-step compaction methods increase magnetic induction and density and decrease core loss. The effect of milling time on the core loss was investigated; the results revealed that increasing the milling time and decreasing the particle size increase core loss.
