Abstract
Measurements of thermophysical properties of Se80Te10In10 chalcogenide glass have been carried out in a temperature range from 30 to 70 °C and cooling from 70 to 30 °C using transient plane source (TPS) technique. In the heating process variation of effective thermal conductivity (λe) and effective thermal diffusivity (χe) is observed. Both quantities are found to be maximum at 55 °C which lies in the vicinity of glass transition temperature. Specific heat per unit volume obtained from above two quantities is minimum at the same temperature. During the cooling process λe and χe remains same at all temperatures. Such type of behaviour shows thermal hysteresis in this sample, which can be explained on the basis of the change in structure of the material.
