Abstract :
Calcination of a tantalum-O-phenylene-S-tin-S-phenylene-O hybrid copolymer under an argon atmosphere gave SnS–carbon clusters–Ta2O5 composite material. Electron spin resonance (ESR) and X-ray photospectrometry (XPS) spectral examinations suggest the possibility of an electron transfer in the process of SnS → carbon clusters → Ta2O5 with an oxidation site at SnS particles and a reduction site at Ta2O5 particles. The calcined material could decompose methylene blue under visible light irradiation.
