Abstract :
The effect of ferroelectric YMnO3 addition on the piezoelectric characteristics of Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 were investigated. The high-power piezoelectric characteristics, such as the mechanical quality factor (Qm) and vibration velocity ( v 0 ) , were improved significantly. For the 2.0 mol% YMnO3-doped sample, Qm was 730 and v 0 was 0.61 m/s at a 20 °C temperature rise. In addition to the improved high-power characteristics, the samples maintained a high Curie temperature (Tc) at around 370 °C.
