Abstract :
The resonance field equation of a wire along the wire axis is correctly obtained both by the Kittel–Kohmoto method and the Smit–Beljers method. The induced anisotropy field of −4.98 kOe for the amorphous Fe77.5Si7.5B15 (numbers indicate at.%) wire is determined from the analysis of the resonance-field data reported by Chiriac et al. [H. Chiriac, C.N. Colesniuc, T.-A. Ovari, IEEE Trans. Magn. 35 (1999) 3841]. The negative anisotropy field (Hk) value means that the wire has an easy basal plane.
