Abstract :
The results showed that hot-band normalizing had a large influence on both primary and secondary recrystallization. Normalizing, for primary recrystallization, increases the grain size to 1.6 times that of non-normalizing but has a little influence on Goss texture, cube texture and γ fiber. However, for secondary recrystallization, normalizing increases grain size to 3.6 times that of non-normalizing and increases Goss texture volume fraction to 1.4 times that of non-normalizing. The effects of hot-band normalizing on grain growth and Goss texture from primary to secondary recrystallization became more remarkable. The grains grew by 317 times from primary to secondary recrystallization with normalizing while for non-normalizing they grew by only 143 times. Goss texture increased 45 times from primary to secondary recrystallization for normalizing but increased 24 times for non-normalizing.
