Abstract
It is proposed to determine elasticity and viscoelasticity parameters of an isotropic material by a hybrid numerical/experimental approach using full-field measurements. A generic method able to handle displacements and force measurements is developed from finite element concepts. A force and displacement method are introduced. Then, an extension of these methods is proposed to determine isotropic viscoelasticity parameters, i.e. the complex Young’s modulus and Poisson’s ratio with their frequency dependence, from a unique experiment without any parameterisation. Finally, application to a real rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plate is demonstrated.
