Abstract :
The paper gives an overview of strangeness-production experiments at the Cooler Synchrotron COSY. Results on kaon-pair and ϕ meson production in p p , p d and d d collisions, hyperon-production experiments and Λ p final-state interaction studies are presented as well as a search for a strangeness S = − 1 resonance in the Λ p system.
