Abstract :
Comments on the paper entitled “Comparing the effect of processing temperature on microstructure and mechanical behavior of (ZrSiO4 or TiB2)/aluminum composites” by H. Abdizadeh et al. [Mater. Sci. Eng. A 498 (2008) 56–58] show the importance of the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) in increasing of tensile strength and point out a mistake with regard to the differences of the CTE of TiB2 and ZrSiO4 with respect to each other. Also, explain and discuss the main reason for increasing of the tensile strength and hardness in this class of composite materials.
