Abstract
ZnO sheets with different thicknesses have been prepared using a simple spray pyrolysis technique. Parallel to classical characterization techniques like common XRD and AFM, a critical thickness has been proposed on the bases of micro-indentation related hardness, mechanical ductility, optothermal expansivity and crystallite sizes measurements.
