Significant change in mechanical properties of deep drawn ultrafine grained copper wire by additional deformation

It was found that the mechanical properties of ultrafine grained copper wire fabricated by deep wire-drawing process were significantly changed by an additional slight deformation. When the deeply wire-drawn copper was subsequently deformed by draw-bending process, the flow stress of the material greatly decreased and the elongation clearly increased.
