Abstract
Astronomy with a Neutrino Telescope and Abyss environmental REsearch (ANTARES) is a neutrino telescope that has been deployed under the Mediterranean Sea at 40 km of Toulon (French coast) at a depth of 2475 m. The detector is composed of 12 strings equipped with 900 optical modules. The detection mechanism is based on the detection of Cherenkov light emitted by muon from neutrino interaction in the surroundings of the detector. From the light collected of different optical modules in coincidence it is possible to reconstruct the track of the muon and estimate the direction and energy of the neutrino.
