Studies on the neutron field behind the shielding of proton accelerators Part II: Iron shielding

Neutron spectra and neutron dose equivalents behind iron side shielding were calculated for two geometries of practical importance. The same magnitudes were measured at a 7 GeV proton accelerator. They are compared with the calculated values for monoenergetic neutrons with energies between 1 and 400 MeV.
